About us

The QN Hotel was originally built in the early 1900's as a two story boarding house to lodge farm hands and travellers and since then, has been extended into a hotel.
The hotel was then called the Bridge Hotel because of the bridge next to it and the Queensland National Bank on the other side.

The hotel had a few owners and one of them changed the name to its current name, Queensland National Hotel, the QN for short.
The hotel is  situated on the southern end of the township and has been a major service to
many thousands of Aussies over the years and has have had many colourful owners over that period of time.
The Laidley township is situated in the Lockyer Valley and is only 40 minutes from Ipswich and Toowoomba and only 1 and a half hours from the CBD of Brisbane. This makes Laidley a great place for a daily outing. Laidley has town markets every Friday morning and a big monthly market at the end of each month.

Laidley also boasts about its large dam where water skiing is a weekend tradition and next
to that is one of the best small golf courses in South. East Qld. So come up for the day
or stay here the night at the QN and head back home the next day and we can assure you, you will come back.
